Guangda Transmission's Provincial Targeted Project Passes Mid-term Inspection
Remanufacturing Technology Facilitates the Implementation of Carbon Neutrality Goals
Recently, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Gui'an New Area Industry Bureau, and an expert group conducted a mid-term inspection on the Gui'an targeted project "Research on Simulation Design and Virtual Manufacturing Process Implementation of Gear Reducer Motor Remanufacturing" undertaken by Guangda Transmission Co., Ltd. With its breakthrough innovations in remanufacturing technology, remarkable achievements in circular economy practice, and positive contributions to carbon neutrality, the project successfully passed the inspection and received high recognition from the expert group.

As a key provincial project responding to the national "dual carbon" strategy and green manufacturing policies, this research focuses on the core pain points of gear reducer motor remanufacturing. It innovatively integrates the technical path of "simulation design + virtual manufacturing" to build a full-process digital system covering the disassembly, damage detection, and precise repair of waste gear reducer motors. Compared with traditional manufacturing models, the remanufacturing technology developed by the project can increase the utilization rate of core components of waste gear reducer motors to over 90%, reducing carbon emissions from raw material extraction and processing links. Through the optimization of virtual process parameters, energy consumption and pollutant emissions during the remanufacturing process are further reduced, achieving a 40% decrease in the carbon footprint of unit products and truly practicing the development concept of "resource recycling + low-carbon production".
By the mid-term stage, the project has completed the construction of 3 sets of core remanufacturing simulation models, overcome key technical difficulties such as precise repair of waste gears and virtual prediction of motor performance, and applied for 2 invention patents and 1 utility model patent for related achievements. Verified through practical application, the gear reducer motors remanufactured using this technology meet the performance indicators of new products, while reducing production costs by 35% and energy consumption by 50%. They have broad promotion value in fields such as industrial production and engineering machinery, providing a replicable and promotable technical solution for the green transformation of the equipment manufacturing industry.

At the inspection site, the expert group conducted an in-depth visit to Guangda Transmission's remanufacturing workshop and R&D center, inspected the waste motor disassembly production line, simulation design platform, and virtual manufacturing training base on-site, carefully reviewed the project technical report, carbon emission reduction data accounting books, and fund usage, and conducted in-depth exchanges with the project team on issues such as technical optimization, industrialization promotion, and contribution to carbon neutrality. The expert group unanimously agreed that the project closely follows the development direction of circular economy, deeply integrates digital technology with the remanufacturing industry, not only solving the industry pain points of low precision and poor efficiency in traditional remanufacturing, but also achieving significant carbon emission reduction benefits through resource recycling, which is in line with the national "dual carbon" strategic requirements. At the same time, it is recommended to accelerate the transformation of technical achievements, expand application scenarios, and give full play to the demonstration and leading role of the project in the industry.
Mr. Hu, the person in charge of Guangda Transmission Co., Ltd., stated that remanufacturing is the core carrier of circular economy and an important path for enterprises to fulfill their carbon neutrality responsibilities. The successful passing of this mid-term inspection has strengthened the company's determination to deepen its involvement in the field of green manufacturing. In the future, in accordance with the expert group's guidance, the company will continue to optimize the remanufacturing technology system, improve the virtual manufacturing process chain, and promote the large-scale application of technical achievements. At the same time, it will further explore the integrated innovation of remanufacturing with new energy and intelligent manufacturing, striving to reduce the carbon footprint of remanufactured products by another 15%, and contributing Guangda's strength to the transformation and upgrading of Guizhou's equipment manufacturing industry, the development of national circular economy, and the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.
